DIFFERENCES BETWEEN APES AND MONKEYS:

1. Monkeys have tails. Apes do not.

2. Apes are built very much like humans. Monkeys have a wide variety of anatomical types, but in general their shoulders, hips, torso all articulate like other quadrupedal mammals and not like apes.

3. Apes, like humans, are built on the "upright plan" - they tend to orient toward each other in an upright position much of the time.

If any of you refer to a CHIMPANZEE as a MONKEY one more time, we shall have to stop being friends. And you ought to know what bonobos are. They are both much more closely related to us than to monkeys!

On a completely different note, recruit express decided to give me a birthday present today: A job. And I'm to start work tomorrow. :/
